Jazzmain remains one of Scotland’s longest established ‘same-personnel’ quartets. Fusing an eclectic blend of Latin, post-bop ‘Blue Note’ and beautifully arranged ballads into a terrific ‘melting pot’ of straight-ahead music with influences of 1950s/60s jazz luminaries Hank Mobley, Benny Golson, Sonny Rollins, Dexter Gordon and more. Fronted by tenor saxophonist Nick Gould and featuring pianist Steve Grossart, drummer Kevin Dorrian and bassist Iain Harkness. Joining the quartet for this one as special guest will be electrifying bass player – Andy Mitchell.
