Music Elodie Payan Trio

French chanteuse Elodie Payan is fast becoming one of the ‘must hear’ jazz singers, since she emerged on the Scottish jazz scene last year.  Now domiciled in Edinburgh, Elodie brings a fresh perspective and a unique approach to a compelling set of songs which are derived from her native country, as well as Brazil, and some gems from The Great American Songbook, amongst others. A repertoire bringing together different composers and singers who have inspired her for many years now. From Abbey Lincoln to Antônio Carlos Jobim to Serge Gainsbourg… Her voice is as distinctive as it is beguiling and will unquestionably captivate you.  Joining Elodie will be Gary Laidlaw (guitar), Marco Sollazzo (double bass) and Kevin Dorrian (drums).
